The cover by Elena Lola Loli is enchanting in its simplicity. The minimalist use of colours and interesting form – a cello, the album’s central figure, weaved from letters spelling the performers’ name – give a a classic, elegant result. It corresponds well with the genre presented on the record.
The album cover by Mateusz Holak combines the attributes of painters and soldiers in a playful way – a palette and a paintbrush are arranged to resemble the shape of a tank. The album entitled “Pięćdziesiątka” presents excellent Polish musicians reinterpreting songs by the Poznań-based group Malarze i Żołnierze (“Painters and soldiers” in English). The aesthetics relying on pastel colours evokes one of the band’s most famous songs “Po prostu pastelowe” (“Simply pastel”).
The title of the album by Maciej Sochoń – the originator of Seasonal – seems to define loneliness as an everyday practice which can be described, systematized and explained. Cool colours and shadowed forms on the cover designed by Milena Molenda introduce the atmosphere of melancholy and detachment. The photography may be treated as a perfect illustration of Seasonal’s nostalgic songs.
