The album by Mazolewski is illustrated with a black-and-white photograph showing a young girl wrinkling her nose. On the background of the photograph, in its central part one can notice a contour which resembles the Polish flag. Its lower stripe includes the title. The simple, minimalist but at the same time ambiguous design poses the question: who or what is the title “POLKA” (“A POLISH WOMAN” in English)?
Combined talents of Alek Morawski and Grzegorz Piwnicki resulted in a strikingly dynamic, mysterious and amusing design. The scene portrayed on the cover of Włodi’s album entitled “Wszystko z dymem” transports the viewer to a completely different, more colourful world, at the same time leaving room for their imagination.
Examining the cover of the debut album by the band Wilga one may get an impression that it’s a sketch drawn by one of the members, designed on the spot during a rehearsal. The authenticity of the design by Katarzyna Berent perhaps makes a good point of departure for creating the young band’s image.
