We are happy to announce the second edition of the best album cover contest entitled “30 / 30”. The contest is open to any album cover designs contained in records released in 2015 (excluding designs submitted as entries in the previous edition) and by February 29, 2016. This date is also the deadline for submitting entries. From April 21 onwards the best album cover designs will be presented on a follow-up exhibition in the Municipal Gallery “Arsenał” in Poznań.

This year the 9th edition of Festiwal Młodych Talentów (The Young Talents Festival) attracted a few dozen top musicians. According to Ms Anna Lemańczyk, head of Szczecińska Agencja Artystyczna (the Szczecin Arts Agency) which organized the festival, “the Young Talents Festival in Szczecin is one of the most important music events in Poland. The festival attempts to highlight the intelligent, ambitious and surprising face of the Polish music. Each year we try to introduce new elements to make it even more interesting. (…) Next year’s edition will gain an even broader dimension.” One part of the Young Talents Festival was Strefa Nowej Energii (the New Energy Zone) which – according to the information published on the website of the Polish band called Hey – presented various activities surrounding the world of music, such as interviews, workshops, a fashion show, a records fair, multimedia. Three exhibitions were displayed in the hallway and the café of the Arena concert hall in Szczecin, i.e. “Winylove” presenting 25 best Polish records of last decades, “30 / 30” presenting 30 best covers of Polish music albums and a preview exhibition of music posters designed by students of the Szczecin Academy of Arts.
We are happy to invite you to the third part of the exhibition following the “30 / 30” contest which will take place in Szczecin. Album covers awarded in the contest will be displayed between September 19 and October 30, 2015 in the Azoty Arena concert hall situated at 3, 5, 7 Władysława Szafera Street. The exhibition is part of Festiwal Młodych Talentów 2015 (The Young Talents Festival 2015).
